Your puppy is growing each and every hour. Leaning new things that you didn't teach such as, biting furniture is right because you didn't stop them, not knowing that doing their business on the bed is not okay and many more. Training is very important and it'll make your life easier, trust me.

Training can be hard and challenging but with a little effort and patience, any training are achievable. Remember, it is not about perfection but progression. Progress is progress no matter how small, It's still a progress. Your goal is not to show your dog off to your friends that it can do many tricks but instead your first goal is to make sure that your 4-legged angle is listening to you. If they don't listen, they see themselves as the alpha at home. from one bad habit to many more bad habits because one little mistake, you didn't train them to listen to you.

Things that you need for successful training are:

Clicker

When I started training my pup, I didn't know what's the purpose of a clicker. After some research and readings about dog trainings, only then, I realized that clicker plays the most important role in every training. If used properly, It gives the dog a signal that the behavior that he/she did right before you click is the behavior that we want.

Clicker isn't just some kind of mark on dog's behavior. It's also signifies as our way of connecting/communicate with our puppy.

Favorite Toys

A few favorite toys is recommended as dogs are easily distracted, especially puppies. They have a powerful hearing that they could hear the mail man from a mile away and so, the purpose of these "favorite toys" is to attract your 4-legged angel to turn to you whenever they're distracted.

Treats

Dogs are always hungry, no matter what or where or when and treats are the best way to help motivate your dog to listen to you while training. Treats are very essential in any kind of training, even I use trerats for my dog's protection training.
