The only way to ease your pet's homecoming is by expecting what will happen and prepare before her arrival. You wouldn't bring a gallons of milk home without having cereals, bowls, spoons, and refrigirator right ?
It is imortant for you to feel relax the moment your new dog step into your front door by knowing that your house is safe and stocked with everything you may need to care for her.. Not onliy you feel relax about your the safety but also your dog will adapt faster to her new surroundings as she realizes that she's now in a place where she'll be loved and protected.
WHAT TO PREPARE FOR YOUR NEW DOG :
Stocking up is very important as you have to make sure that she stays healthy and happy as she eases into her new home.
Dog Crate
The biggest pet parents make most of the time is not controlling the environtment of their new dog. Most dogs love it, provided you introduce it correctly and make the crate an enjoyable place to be. Not only it provide dogs with a sense of safety but also help keep them secure when you're out of the house or too busy to watch them.
BOWLS
Your dog will need at least two bowl, one for food and one for water. The best bet is stainless steel as it is dirable and won't chip. It is recommended to get an automatic pet feeder just like the picture. Good news, they have automatic water dispenser too.

It is your responsibility to keep your dog clean but which tools you'll need depends on her breed or combination of breeds and whether orr not you plan to hire a groomer or do it yourself.
Pick up shampoo, nail trimmers, ear cleaner, toothbrush and toothpaste.
Toys
Bouncy balls, stuffed animals, flying disc and tug toys. Don't go overboard, buy a few different types and see what your dog's preferences are. Choose toys that are durable, size-appropriate, and a little bigger than you think you need as dogs like to chew, especially puppies.
Bed
There are dozens of dog beds to choose from and you may choose not to get one if you allow your dog to sleep with you or in the crate. If you choose to buy, do not invest in a pricey bed as they might chew and also wait until your dog is done housetraining. You may put a simple mat or old blankets or towels for their crate to be extra cozy.
As you all know by now that puppies like to chew, it is important to keep your house neat and safe of chews from your dog such as electircal cords, common household products, plants and flowers. Keep your dog from going into the toilet as they might drowned in the toilet bowls or buckets. You should enclose your backyard to keep your dog from running away and to prevent other animals from entering your property.
